Organic Cotton Brushed Twill - Dark Olive Green

I'm glad I jumped on this fabric. I bought both the olive green and the khaki, with intents to make dresses, skirts and light pants. It's so soft, yet has a good drape. I'm looking forward to making my clothes, especially the dresses.

I was extremely pleased when I received this dark olive brushed twill via Canada Post. I love the richness of the colour. The colour isn't as dark as the Gutermann evergreen thread (which I also purchased) but it is a close match (the fabric is a lighter/dustier colour). Both sides of the fabric are very soft. If you hold the fabric up to the light it is a little bit "see through" - not completely opaque - but I don't think that means a garment necessarily needs a lining. I plan to make Simplicity S8014 view A long-sleeved dress with this fabric. After washing and air-drying the fabric two times, the fabric shrunk lengthen-wise by 8 cm (it didn't shrink width-wise)- which is typical of cotton fabrics which shrink after washing. Just remember to pre-wash the fabric so that your project doesn't shrink and to purchase a little bit more fabric if you need that. I cannot wait to sew this dress up.

This is SOOOO soft! Like flannel
